melanoma is one of the most common types of cancer for youth and young adults ages 15-29.
our newest initiative hits home for the mssn fam with all proceeds going towards fundraising for Melanoma and skin cancer awareness and prevention. the leading cause of melanoma is overexposure to UV radiation from the sun, so as the weather turns nicer don't forget that SPF (and to re-apply every two hours), and a new mssn cap to keep your head safe.
after being diagnosed with skin cancer twice in her 20's Jaida Williamson, a best friend to the brand, leads the Captain Sun Safe team for Strides for Melanoma and has currently raised over $6,000. we'd love to help Jaida and co. raise even more by the event on May 30th in hopes of better days ahead.
